Bath: Sous Vide Cook & Chill — Privacy Policy

The short version
Bath does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything you enter (food type, thickness, temperatures, timers) stays on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party trackers. We do not collect your name, email, location, device identifiers, or usage data.
What we store on your device
The app saves a small amount of state locally using iOS UserDefaults: your unit preferences, your current batch (food type, thickness, shape, bath temperature), your chill-timer start time, and whether you have unlocked Bath Pro. This data:
- Lives only on your device. It is not synced to iCloud unless you have enabled device-level iCloud Backup, in which case it is encrypted by Apple and inaccessible to us.
- Is never transmitted to Moon Dog, Daria Kopaliani, Roman Kopaliani, or any third party.
- Is deleted when you delete the app.
Network usage
Bath makes no network requests for its core functionality. All time-and-temperature data is bundled into the app at install time. The app does not phone home, check for updates outside the App Store mechanism, or fetch remote content.
Purchases
Bath Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see or store your payment details. The app only records, on your device, whether the unlock is active.
Food-safety data sources
The bundled guidance is sourced from Douglas Baldwin's A Practical Guide to Sous Vide Cooking, the U.S. FDA Food Code (2017), and the NSW Food Authority, and is cited on-screen. These sources are not contacted at runtime; their data is embedded in the app.
Children's privacy
Bath is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from anyone of any age (because it does not collect data at all).
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will appear here with a new effective date.
