Hide: Leather Calculator — Privacy Policy

The short version

Hide does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything you enter (leather weight, project type, stitch length, saved project log, brand preference, unit preferences) stays on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party trackers. We do not collect your name, email, location, device identifiers, or usage data.

What we store on your device

The app saves your preferences (length unit mm/inches, default leather weight, preferred brand, preferred thread-length rule) and your saved project log (up to 50 entries, newest first) locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults. This data:

• Stays on your iPhone or iPad
• Is never transmitted off your device
• Is included in your iCloud device backup if you have iCloud backup enabled, per Apple's standard backup behavior
• Is deleted when you delete the app

In-app purchases

Hide Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase ($6.99). The purchase is handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit; we never see your payment method, name, address, or any other purchase detail. Your purchase history is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on any device signed into the same Apple ID via Settings → Restore purchases.

Network use

The app does not make any network calls in normal use. The only outbound activity is StoreKit's purchase / restore flow, which Apple handles directly. The app does not contact our servers (we don't run any) and does not load any web content.

Children

Hide is a hobby utility for adults. We do not knowingly collect any data from any user, including users under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the new version will replace this page and the "Effective" date above will update.
