What does Press Pro unlock?

The free app covers the core calculators. Press Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks the full feature set — advanced blending, the complete additions toolkit, and multi-batch tracking. Tap "Restore purchases" in Settings to re-activate Pro on a new device from the App Store account that bought it.

How does Press calculate titratable acidity (TA)?

Press works in malic acid, the dominant acid in apples, and helps you target a balanced TA for the style you're making. Your own titration reading is the input; the app helps you blend or adjust toward a sensible range.

Why does Press warn about low YAN?

Apple juice is often low in yeast-assimilable nitrogen (YAN). Too little nitrogen stresses the yeast, which can produce hydrogen sulfide (a rotten-egg smell) and risk a sluggish or stuck fermentation. Press estimates whether your must needs a nutrient addition.

What about sulfite (SO₂) and patulin?

Press helps you calculate sulfite additions by volume and pH for stabilization, and surfaces guidance on patulin (a mold toxin associated with rotten fruit) so you keep it out of the juice in the first place. These are aids, not a substitute for established cidermaking references.

Should I trust this app for my batch?

Press presents cidermaking math and guidance drawn from extension and research sources (Cornell and the University of Vermont fruit programs). It is an aid for hobby and small-scale cidermaking, not a food-safety authority. Follow established references and use your own judgment.

Does the app work offline?

Yes. Press never makes general network requests; the only exception is Apple's StoreKit for the Pro price and restoring purchases. All calculations are local.

How do I delete my data?

Delete the app from your iPhone or iPad. All local data is removed along with it.
