What it does

Tug answers the winching questions. The Winch Size Check and Recover Safe are free forever: load weight (with typical vehicle-class hints — your door-jamb GVWR wins) against WARN's published rule of gross weight × 1.5, plus a straight verdict on the winch you own. The safety floor never goes behind the paywall: never rig to a tow ball, rated recovery points and Working Load Limits only, a damper over every tensioned line, gloves on wire rope, nobody in line with the pull.

It also carries the number nobody reads on the box: rated line pull is a first-layer figure — a drum wound full can lose a third of its capacity, and the per-layer specs are published for anyone who looks.
