Watt: Solar Calculator for Van & RV — Privacy Policy

The short version

Watt does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything you enter (rig configuration, appliance list, brand selections) stays on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party trackers. We do not collect your name, email, location, device identifiers, or usage data.

What we store on your device

The app saves your rig setup (system voltage, autonomy days, battery chemistry, your US state for peak-sun-hours lookup, panel array configuration, wire run length, selected brand presets) and your appliance list (name, wattage, hours per day, AC or DC) locally on your device using SwiftData. This data:

• Stays on your device only
• Is not transmitted anywhere
• Is removed if you delete the app

In-app purchases

Watt offers a one-time Watt Pro purchase (and an introductory 2-day full-feature trial that requires no purchase to start). Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We do not see your Apple ID, payment method, or billing information — Apple handles all of that under their own privacy policy. The app only learns whether a successful purchase is associated with the active Apple ID on this device.

What we share

Nothing. We have nothing to share because we collect nothing.

Third-party services

None. Watt does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services, including analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or AI providers.

Network access

The app does not require an internet connection to function. The only network call it can make is to Apple's StoreKit servers — either to fetch the current Watt Pro price or to restore a prior purchase. No other network requests are made.

Children's privacy

Watt is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Since no personal data is collected or stored off your device, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. To remove all locally stored app data, delete the app from your device.

Changes to this policy

If the app changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
