How does the 48-hour free trial work?

The 48-hour clock starts when you finish onboarding. Until it runs out, every feature is unlocked — pump sizing, pressure-tank cycling, UV dose, filtration stages, cistern and rainwater tools. When the trial ends you'll see the Well Pro paywall and can unlock everything for good with a one-time purchase. Your saved system data stays put.

I already bought Well Pro on another device. How do I restore?

On the new device, open Settings → Restore purchases (or tap "Restore purchases" on the paywall). Your unlock is restored from the App Store account that originally purchased.

How does Well size a pump?

Well computes total dynamic head (TDH) from your pumping water level and drawdown, the vertical lift to storage, your pressure-tank setting, and friction losses in the pipe — then matches that against the flow you need. The result is a guide for selecting a pump curve, not a substitute for a driller's or pump installer's design.

What UV dose does Well target?

For disinfection, Well references the NSF/ANSI 55 framework — Class A systems are validated to deliver 40 mJ/cm². The app helps you check whether your lamp, flow rate, and water clarity support that dose. UV only works on water that is already clear and otherwise safe; it is not a fix for turbid or chemically contaminated water.

Should I trust this app for my real system?

Well presents sizing math drawn from extension and standards sources (Penn State, USDA NRCS, ARCSA, EPA, NSF/ANSI 55). It is an educational planning aid, not a substitute for a licensed well driller, pump installer, or water-treatment professional. Drinking-water safety is load-bearing — have a qualified professional review your design and test your water.

Does the app work offline?

Yes. Well never makes general network requests; the only exception is Apple's StoreKit for the Pro price and restoring purchases. All calculations are local.

How do I delete my data?

Delete the app from your iPhone or iPad. All local data is removed along with it.
