What's free, and what needs a purchase?

The Cook and Chill tools — pasteurization holds, the live ice-bath cooling timer, and the FDA two-stage cooling check — are free forever. Storage shelf-life and safe reheat planning are free during a 24-hour trial that starts when you finish the intro, then unlock permanently with a one-time Bath Pro purchase. No subscription.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Open Settings (the gear in the top-right of the home screen) and tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought it with.

Why does it warn that a "sashimi" cook doesn't pasteurize?

Cooking fish at a low temperature (for example a 40.6 °C sashimi setting) only warms it — it does not pasteurize. That is fine to eat right away, but it is not safe to chill and store. To store a batch, cook it at a pasteurizing temperature for the time Bath shows.

Are these times safe for my exact food?

Bath is an educational reference based on Douglas Baldwin's guide and the FDA Food Code, and every figure names its source. It is not a substitute for a calibrated thermometer or your local food-safety authority. Thin, irregular, or stuffed items carry extra risk. When in doubt, throw it out.
